The presentation was attended by the center's medical director, Dr. Pedro Torrecillas, a urologist from Malaga with more than 25 years of professional experience and member of the European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters; in addition to the Italian surgeon specialist in cryosurgery Franco Lugnani (Honorary President of the International Society of Cryosurgery) and the CEO of the manufacturer of the equipment that has allowed to implement this technique, Metrum Cryoflex; Wiesław Brojek.
The procedure is painless, since it can be performed under local anesthesia or with sedation, it does not leave scars, as the needle is very thin, nor marks or deformations on the skin of the patient. In addition, if the fibroadenomas are repeated, the treatment can be repeated because it does not leave scars.
