Dr. Pedro Torrecillas, urologist member of the European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters, will participate in this month of October in two prestigious international meetings; but also of great importance for the future of cryosurgery and cryomedicine in the treatment of tumor diseases

During the 14th and 15th of October, an international meeting will take place in Warsaw (Poland) in Workshop format (intensive sectoral and plenary workshops) to address the new challenges posed by medium intensity cryosurgery. Dr. Torrecillas will be accompanied by Franco Lugnani, a urologist also of international renown, and with whom he shares medical coordination at the International Center for Cryosurgery.

This technique, specific variant of cryosurgery, is showing itself to be very effective in pathologies such as Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (inflammation of the prostate) or Urethral Meato Stenosis (narrowing of the ducts of the male sexual organ).
The current trends in cryomedicine, a technique that allows the extirpation of cancer cells from tissue deep-freezing, also address treatments in Peyronie Grave disease or how ozone is being used in Rebellious Urinary Infections.
In this last question, the preliminary results are very positive especially in immunosuppressed patients who are being treated with antibiotics.
 
Congress of the International Society of Cryosurgery

During the days of October 22 and 23, the Congress of the International Society of Cryosurgery and Criomedicine will be held in Egypt, specifically in the town of Sharm El Sheikh; where more than 300 specialists from the 5 continents will put their experiences and trajectories in common to study the latest applications of these innovative techniques.

Also attending will be Dr. Pedro Torrecillas as Vice President of said Society, and Dr. Lugnani, as honorary president of the same. In this world meeting we will try to reach common conclusions about the new trends in the treatment of tumor pathologies, and the role that the latest advances in the fields of cryosurgery and cryomedicine will play in them.
